This quote really shows what the constructivist approach believes. I think that education, as a whole, would change if people started thinking this way.
How do we get students to see it this way?

Ask them to. Maybe nobody ever has before . . .
In history I always try to have them tell me, "What do you want the history books to say about you?"
Imagine if all of a sudden, history became the same!
